The Killarney Bike Classic aims to raise funds for local Cancer charities and as a way to remember a local farmer and grazier, Mark Lampe who rode from Killarney Gap to Sawn Rocks with a group of friends for an Easter get together with their families. Less than three months later, Mark lost his short battle with cancer. Mark grew up in Narrabri and loved the district.
The bike ride is a celebration of life offering a fun, physically challenging event . This ride has grown in popularity each year with riders coming from around the region. The event caters for riders from social to professional as well as juniors.
